Two fairly straightforward shots from the same downtown area this week. The first is from the pedestrian bridge at the foot of the world's steepest vehicular inclined plane, showing the high water mark from the Great Flood of 1889, well above the passing traffic. The second is a once-proud motel that has fallen into disrepair. The subject was inspired by this postcard from its heyday:
At the right edge of the vintage postcard, you can see these large windows, now broken:
With the Towne Manor, it's more like "Parking in Rear * Hourly Rates"
